Karisma Kapoor Recalls Salman Khan Would Set Up Lavish Lunch Buffet For Crew On Film Sets; Says, “It Would Be A Feast For Everyone”

Karisma Kapoor reminisced about Salman Khan’s lavish buffets, David Dhawan’s diet jokes, and her favourite dishes with Govinda, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar. On a recent episode of MasterChef India, the actress brought a delightful wave of nostalgia as she shared how Salman Khan used to organize extravagant spread of delicacies outside his van during their filming days.

The food conversation became even more engaging when Chef Kunal Kapur, curious, asked Karisma, “Do you remember any special food moment while shooting?” She recalled, “Salman would set up a buffet outside the van for the entire team, including cast and crew, and it would be a feast for everyone.”

She also reminisced about working with filmmaker David Dhawan, saying, “He would tell everyone, ‘I’m on a diet, just one bite,’ but somehow I’d end up eating everything from the spread.”

Karisma appeared on MasterChef to celebrate the legacy of the iconic Kapoor family, entertaining viewers with candid stories, witty banter, and behind-the-scenes food anecdotes from her illustrious film career. She also mentioned Salman Khan’s off-screen generosity, noting that the Bigg Boss host often arranges special meals at his home for contestants during the popular Weekend Ka Vaar episodes.

Salman’s Upcoming Projects

Khan is gearing up for the release of his film Battle of Galwan. The first song, Maatrubhumi, is already out. The film has been directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Chitrangda Singh as the female lead. The war drama is all set to release on April 17, 2026.
