Over the last couple of days, several air-borne travelers in India were left angry due to issues in IndiGo airlines. While major airports across the country were pushed into complete chaos owing to IndiGo flights being delayed for hours or suddenly cancelled, thousands of passengers – including celebrities, took to social media to vent their frustration. The latest to join the list is filmmaker Kiran Rao.

A couple of hours ago, Kiran took to her social media and posted a fun note capturing her frustration over her Tokyo-bound flight being delayed for hours. Sharing a selfie sitting in the car, Kiran wrote, “By now (11 hours since I left home) I should’ve reached Tokyo, but… it was nice to get to know Mumbai T2 ‘really’ well, thanks to Indigo. IndiGo Issues Apology
Four days after the problems began, IndiGo took to social media and shared an apology. In the note, they stated that they cannot solve everything immediately but were actively trying to fix the situation as fast as possible. In the same post, the airline also dropped a message for passengers stuck at airports and mentioned that refunds was being arranged. They also noted that travellers can use the free hotel stay and other services provided by the airline during the disruptions.
A part of their apology read, “To each one of our customers – We are truly sorry and we will take care. We deeply apologise and understand how difficult the past few days have been for many of you. While this will not get resolved overnight, we assure you that we will do everything in our capacity to help you in the meantime and to bring our operations back to normal at the earliest.”
