A terrible accident near Kurnool has left the nation in deep sorrow. A private sleeper bus caught fire after colliding with a bike on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway, claiming several lives, including children. The horrifying incident has sparked grief and anger across the country, with many calling for better road and vehicle safety measures.

Celebrities Mourn Victims of the Kurnool Bus Tragedy

Actress Rashmika Mandanna shared her heartbreak on Instagram, writing, “The news from Kurnool has been weighing heavily on my heart. Imagining what those passengers must’ve gone through inside that burning bus is unbearable. To think that an entire family, including little kids, and so many others lost their lives in minutes—it’s truly devastating.” She added, “My thoughts and prayers are with every family affected by this tragedy. May their souls rest in peace.”

Actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood used the opportunity to call for stronger safety regulations. “Nearly 40 lives lost in 2 weeks to bus fires,” he posted. “People travel to see their families, not meet their end. Time for strict safety norms—safer wiring, emergency exits. Enough is enough.”

Actor Vishnu Manchu, known for Kannappa, also expressed his sorrow on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “Deeply disturbed by the tragic bus accident on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway. So many innocent lives lost in such a horrific manner. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Prayers for the injured and strength to those grieving.”

About Kurnool Bus Tragedy

The bus is operated by Vemuri Kaveri Travels, left Hyderabad for Bengaluru at 10:30 pm on Thursday with 46 passengers. Around 3 am, it hit a bike near Chinna Tekuru village, causing a massive fire that trapped many inside. Nineteen passengers and the biker lost their lives in the tragic incident.
