As per Government rules, the mortal was paid their last respects with gun salutes by 21 officers. The funeral took place today at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, Mumbai, where an emotional Lara was accompanied by her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi.

Earlier this month, Lara Dutta celebrated a significant milestone—25 years since she was crowned Miss Universe. On her father’s birthday this year, she shared a touching Instagram post reflecting on the occasion.

In her professional pursuits, Lara is set to appear in the highly anticipated drama Welcome to the Jungle, which will be her reunion with Akshay Kumar after the 2021 film Bell Bottom.
