As per Government rules, the mortal was paid their last respects with gun salutes by 21 officers. The funeral took place today at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, Mumbai, where an emotional Lara was accompanied by her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi.

In her professional pursuits, Lara is set to appear in the highly anticipated drama Welcome to the Jungle, which will be her reunion with Akshay Kumar after the 2021 film Bell Bottom. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film features an ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Aftab Shivdasani, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor, among others.
