Bollywood celebrities showcased their support at the 2026 BMC elections, casting their votes and encouraging the public to participate in the democratic process. During the polling day, well-known stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena, Karisma Kapoor and others were seen at different polling stations, exemplifying their dedication as responsible citizens. From the early hours, many celebrities were actively engaged in exercising their civic duties with a sense of responsibility.

New dad Vicky Kaushal stepped out to cast his vote in the 2026 BMC elections. Sporting a stylish look before his film Love & War, he donned sunglasses and proudly displayed his inked finger for the paparazzi. After voting, the actor quickly got into his vehicle, showcasing his casual and confident vibe.

Ahead of his film Border 2’s release, Varun Dhawan flaunts his inked finger today. The actor was seen in a white kurta pyjama set today. He quickly posed for the paps and left.

About Maharashtra BMC Elections 2026

Polling for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections commenced at 7:30 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Several prominent figures were among the first to vote, setting an important tone for this crucial civic exercise after nearly four years. The election aims to fill 227 corporator seats, with approximately 1,700 candidates competing and over 1.03 crore voters participating. To facilitate maximum participation, the Maharashtra government declared a public holiday, allowing more citizens to vote during the day.

The polling process is being closely guarded, with over 28,000 police personnel deployed across Mumbai to ensure security. Voting will continue until 5:30 pm, after which the EVMs will be moved to secure locations. The counting of votes is scheduled for January 16, with results expected later that evening.
