Actor Dhanush’s Idly Kadai landed in trouble as a massive fire broke out on the set of the film in Anuppapatti village, located in the Andipatti block of Tamil Nadu. However, there has been no update on how the fire broke out. The film is directed and co-produced by actor Dhanush, and he had already wrapped his shoot at the Anuppapatti location prior to the incident.

Idly Kadai, Dhanush’s fourth directorial and 52nd film as an actor, is set to release later this year. The film, produced by Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures, features music by GV Prakash and cinematography by Kiran Koushik. The first poster shows a roadside shack under a starry night.
