The names that have emerged in the ongoing #MeToo movement has left everyone shocked and disappointed. After several actresses and singers came forward to name and shame their perpetrators, Alia Bhatt’s mother, veteran actress Soni Razdan has shared her #MeToo story.

Sharing her story, she told The Quint, “Like there was an incident that happened to me when I was on a film shoot and somebody tried to rape me, for example, that kind of thing. Luckily they didn’t succeed.”

Further explaining why she never reported the incident, Razdan said, “If I would have opened my mouth that person would have gone through a lot of problems. He had a family, small children.”

Soni didn’t speak about it since she didn’t want to hurt that person’s family, whom she knew.

She also commented on Alok Nath with whom she has worked previously. Talking about Alok Nath, who has been accused of rape by writer-producer Vinta Nanda, Razdan said, “I have seen him behave very very, I would say lecherously after he has been drunk. Even at one time, I wouldn’t say he made a pass at me but I didn’t like the way he was looking at me.”

With so many women coming out and speaking against Alok Nath, we wonder why he is still in denial mode.
