Ever since Mirzapur premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2018, the action crime thriller show has been loved by millions. Given the immense love surrounding the title, the makers announced that Mirzapur would not only be series but also a film, and thus, Mirzapur: The Film was born.

Currently the film is bring shot against the striking landscapes of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. While Ali Fazal took to social media to share a brief but powerful clip from the sets, Mohitt Maalik who joins the team for the first time wrapped filming his parts.

Ali Fazal Shares Glimpses From Mirzapur: The Film Sets

Ali Fazal took to his social media and shared the first-ever sneak peek video of his iconic character Guddu Bhaiya from Mirzapur: The Film. The clip begins with Guddu Bhaiya’s unmistakable backshot walk on set, a visual that instantly reignited the legacy of one of India’s most formidable on-screen gangsters. With no dialogue and only sheer screen presence doing the talking, the video offers a glimpse into the raw power, dominance, and intensity that Guddu Bhaiya brings to the big screen.

Sharing his excitement, Ali Fazal said, “Stepping back into Guddu Bhaiya’s world is always intense. This character carries a certain weight, a silence that speaks louder than words. Filming in Jaisalmer has added a whole new texture to the story, and this is just a small glimpse of the journey we’re on. There’s a lot more coming, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen.”

About The Film

Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Film is scheduled for release in 2026. The movie will feature the iconic characters from the series, including Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), along with Abhishek Banerjee. Following its nationwide theatrical release, the film will be available for streaming to Prime members in India and in over 240 countries and territories eight weeks after its release.
