Mrunal Thakur Praises Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar The Revenge Performance; Reveals Why The Actor Is Her Lucky Charm

Mrunal Thakur recently praised Ranveer Singh and his performance in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, aka Dhurandhar 2. A passionate Ranveer Singh fan, Mrunal expressed her happiness that his latest release is achieving huge success at the box office. Dhurandhar: The Revenge made history as the first Bollywood film to cross Rs 1000 crore in collections.

Mrunal Thakur Reveals Why Ranveer Singh Is Her Lucky Charm

During a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, Mrunal shared that Ranveer is her ‘lucky charm’ and explained why. She said, “My heart is happy. He is my lucky charm. He’s the reason I am in this industry at all. I did a commercial with him for a hair brand as a model, and when that commercial was released… that’s when filmmakers started noticing me. I give my credit to him — he’s truly helped me a lot. Such a positive person, and he deserves all the success.”

She also spoke about his performance in Dhurandhar, saying, “The acting was not superficial. It had depth and layers. I didn’t watch it as Ranveer Singh; I saw it as Hamza… it was more of a character than just a hero. I’m incredibly proud of Ranveer because he’s so hardworking. I pray and wish that everything he does becomes a blockbuster! He can do anything.”

About Dhurandhar 2

Dhurandhar 2 was released in theatres on March 19 in Hindi and all South Indian languages, with paid premieres on March 18. The first film depicted Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating gangs in Lyari to dismantle a terror network targeting India, while also climbing the power ranks within Pakistan’s underworld. It revolved around covert intelligence operations amid geopolitical and terror incidents like the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament Attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The sequel continues the story, showing how Ranveer’s character was trained to become Hamza Ali Mazari. It advances the plot by depicting his efforts to control the power dynamics in Lyari while working to dismantle a terror network in Pakistan threatening India. The film features an intense face-off between Arjun Rampal and Ranveer. Dhurandhar 2 also stars R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Sanjay Dutt.

Mrunal is now preparing for the release of her upcoming film Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap. The film is set to premiere on April 10.
