Television actress Navina Bole, known for her role in Ishqbaaz, has recently spoken out about a disturbing experience with director Sajid Khan. She revealed that Sajid once invited her to his home and made an inappropriate request, asking her to “take off her clothes.”
Navina Bole Accuses Sajid Khan Of Inappropriate Behaviour
She shared that this was part of the casting couch problem in the entertainment industry. Speaking about it on Subhojit Ghos’s YouTube channel, she said, “There was a terrible terrible man who I would never want to meet in my life called Sajid Khan, he came after so many of us after gladrags and he just really pushed the envelope when it came to disrespecting women.”
Navina said the experience left her shocked and uncomfortable. She also mentioned that Sajid contacted her again about a year later, while she was taking part in the Mrs. India pageant. She recalled that during the casting of Heyy Babyy, how he molested her, she said, “You know I was really excited when he called me and then he literally said why don’t you just get off your clothes and sit in your lingerie I need to see how comfortable you are. I am talking about 2004 and 2006 when I did gladrags.”
Her revelations add to the list of women who have accused Sajid Khan of inappropriate behaviour, especially during the #MeToo movement. She added, “He had called me again then and asked me, ‘What do you do, you should come see me for a role.’ And I said this guy must be hitting on so many women that he does not even remember that one year ago he had called me to his place and he has already hit on me so badly.”
Sajid Khan MeToo Case
Sajid Khan, a Bollywood director and TV personality, was accused during the #MeToo movement in India by multiple women of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour. Allegations included harassment, lewd comments, and abuse of power during auditions and professional interactions.
Actresses like Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, and others came forward with detailed accounts. As a result, he was temporarily suspended by the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) and removed from directing Housefull 4. Despite the backlash, he returned to public platforms like Bigg Boss, reigniting debates on accountability and the entertainment industry’s treatment of #MeToo allegations.
