Don 3: Not Sharvari, Kriti Sanon To Play The Lead In Ranveer Singh’s Actioner Post Mom-To-Be Kiara Advani’s Exit- Report

As per reports, Don 3 will mark the first on-screen collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the film is set to begin production in October 2025. Ranveer Singh steps into the iconic role of Don, following in the footsteps of legends Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The makers confirmed Singh’s involvement, signalling Farhan Akhtar’s return to directing after more than ten years.

Not Sharvari Kriti Sanon To Join Ranveer Singh’s Don 3

Initially, Kiara Advani was cast as the female lead in this action-packed thriller, but she had to withdraw due to her pregnancy. However, as reported by Pinkvilla, Kriti Sanon is now the top choice to take on this role after reports of Sharvari joining the cast. Sources indicate that she has given her preliminary agreement to star alongside Ranveer Singh and is expected to finalise the contract in the next two weeks. “Farhan Akhtar and the creative team of Excel Entertainment were looking to cast an experienced actress with a screen presence on board Don 3, and Kriti Sanon fits the bill like a hand in glove. She has the aura to play Roma on screen, and is excited to sign the dotted lines soon,” a source shared.

Farhan Akhtar has already conducted significant location scouting for Don 3 and plans to collaborate with an international stunt team for the action sequences. “Don 3 will be shot largely in Europe and the locations are already closed. The script is also locked, and all that remains now is slight polishing alongside the action design. The pre-production work will go on for the next few months, and the team is aiming to take the film on floors by October/November 2025,” the source added.

Kriti Sanon’s Upcoming Projects

Before diving into Don 3, Kriti Sanon will complete filming for Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein and Dinesh Vijan’s Cocktail 2. Additionally, she is in negotiations for a horror-thriller titled Nai Naveli, also directed by Aanand L Rai, set for release in 2026.
