Initially, Palaash had shared a proposal video that garnered widespread attention, but he has since taken it down. Similarly, Smriti Mandhana removed all photos and videos related to their engagement and pre-wedding festivities from her social media accounts. Her teammates also deleted posts from the wedding celebrations.

The couple was scheduled to tie the knot on November 23 after a series of pre-wedding events where both families celebrated together. However, on the day of the wedding, Smriti’s father suddenly fell ill and was hospitalised. Shortly afterwards, Palaash was also admitted to a hospital. When both returned to Mumbai from Sangli, where the wedding was to take place, rumours began circulating online alleging that Palaash had been unfaithful. Smriti’s decision to delete her wedding posts further fueled these speculations.
