Paresh Rawal Shares His Take On Social Media Calling It A Pulking Pot

Speaking about the need to maintain positivity on social media, Paresh Rawal said, “I am trying to improve myself. In my opinion, social media is like a puking pot. It says what it wants to say. It should not be like that. Negativity should not spread. You have no right to say anything about anyone. Even if you are sure that the person is wrong, you have no right to criticise or demean them or tarnish their image. But I am saying all these things, and I am listening to myself. And I have done very little.”

The Hera Pheri actor further admitted that while online criticism can affect him, he consciously tries to exercise restraint. “Sometimes when I get angry, I get angry. But still, I keep a limit. I never abuse. Social media is a good medium to spread positivity. If there is negativity, stay away from it,” he added.

Rawal was recently involved in an online exchange after reacting to a post critical of Dhurandhar. The incident began when a radio jockey shared a reel on X featuring a sarcastic take on the film, captioned, “Hahahaha. Best review of Dhurandhar! Responding sharply, Rawal wrote, “Your job as a stupid reporter is secured. Nobody wants it (sic).” His remark drew a rebuttal from the RJ, who clarified, “Get your facts right. I am not a reporter. You are just an actor, hugely distant from your art in real life.”

Meanwhile, the Hera Pheri actor also shared his appreciation for Dhurandhar and its sequel. In an interview with Jagran, he said, “I am extremely impressed with ‘Dhurandhar’. I absolutely loved the film and still haven’t gotten over it. I have already watched the first ‘Dhurandhar’ twice and have seen ‘Dhurandhar 2’ twice as well.” Paresh emphasised, saying he feels like going and watching the film again.

The actor further added, “The first part was entertaining, but the second ‘Dhurandhar’ is packed with so much detail that viewers will thoroughly enjoy it. After watching, you realise there are multiple layers to it. Only when you see the film do you understand what each reference it is pointing towards.”
