Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty starrer Hera Pheri 3 has faced a roadblock yet again after Paresh Rawal has opted out of the film. Reports were rife that he walked out due to creative differences with director Priyadarshan. However he has now set the record straight by confirming that the claims are untrue.

Talking to his Twitter (X) handle, the actor wrote, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”
When it comes to the franchise, director Priyadarshan had confirmed that he is looking for the perfect script and will start working on the film next year. On Akshay Kumar’s birthday he confirmed being excited to direct the instalment.
About The Franchise
The Hera Pheri franchise began with the 2000 film Hera Pheri, directed by Priyadarshan. Its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, released in 2006, was directed by Neeraj Vora. The third installment is reportedly being helmed by Priyadarshan once again. The characters from the film, Babu Bhaiya(Paresh Rawal), Raju(Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Suniel Shetty) continue to remain etched in fans hearts. Even the memes on them bring back nostalgia.
On the work front, the iconic trio will feature in Welcome To The Jungle which is all set to release year end. While Priyadarshan is working on Bhoot Bangla with Paresh Rawal and Akshay.
