Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana had been confirmed to join the cast. The publication highlighted the novelty of the Sara-Ayushmann pairing in comedy. The source stated, “Sara and Ayushmann are a fresh combo in the comic space, and the actor (Sara) fits the character’s brief. She heard the script, and it was an instant yes from her side for the film.”
