Race 4: Producer Ramesh Taurani Issues Statement About Film’s Casting; Reveals Which Two Actors Are Being Considered

Producer Ramesh Taurani’s Race franchise is one of the most loved film franchises in Bollywood thanks to it story, music, action and more. While the first two installments saw Saif Ali Khan as the lead, the third featured Salman Khan as the central character. A while back, Taurani announced that he is returning with the fourth film in his franchise and the news left fans excited.

Ever since the announcement, fans have been waiting to know which Bollywood stars will be part of the film’s star cast. Amid rumours of Harshvardhan Rane and Rakul Preet being roped in for the film, the makers have now released an official statement about the casting and which two actors are being considered as of now. Ramesh Taurani On Race 4 Cast

A while ago, producer Ramesh Taurani’s team issued a statement with regards to which actors have been approached to star in Race 4. While stating that only two actor are currently in talks, they also urged fan to not believe in false narratives circulating about the film’s casting. The statement read, “We would like to clarify that we are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the Race franchise (Race 4) which is currently it its scripting phase.”

The statement further read, “No other male or female actors have been approached at this stage. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to avoid engaging with false news and to wait for an official confirmation from our PR team.”

Ramesh: Saif will be back in the Race franchise

Talking about wanting Saif Ali Khan in Race 4, Ramesh Taurani told PTI, “Saif will be back in the Race franchise, and we are excited to have him on board. He did a great job in the first two films. The film will boast an ensemble cast, and we are finalizing the script and cast. We haven’t finalised the director either. We will announce the film officially before we go on floors, most likely next year.”

About Race Franchise

Released in 2008, the first film in the Race franchise starred Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel in pivotal roles. The film was a blockbuster success, leading to a direct sequel releasing in 2013. A continuation of the first film, Race 2 saw the addition of Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Jacqueliene Fernandez to the cast alongside Khan, Kapoor and Patel.

Race 3 released in 2018 and saw Salman Khan playing the lead. Holding no connection to the earlier films, this actioner starrer Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah. Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel in pivotal roles.
