The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has significantly affected the entire Gulf region, impacting many residents, including several well-known Indian celebrities. While some celebrities have shared updates about their safety, others have yet to do so. Among them, fans of actor R. Madhavan expressed concern over his well-being. Recent reports indicate that Madhavan is currently in the United States and plans to stay there until the situation in the Middle East stabilises.

The actor has been based in Dubai for some time, frequently travelling to India for work. He replied, “We are all fine. Thank you so much for the concern. R Madhavan on Dhurandhar 2
In a podcast with Sonia Shenoy on her YouTube channel, Madhavan talked about fans travelling from Dubai to India to watch Dhurandhar 2. He said, “People are planning their business meetings around March 19 so they can attend the meetings and also watch the film because it’s not releasing in Dubai. They could easily stream it on IPTV, but they prefer to experience it in a theater full of people. That community experience is what cinema is all about. Watching the same film alone at home is just not the same.”
He also reflected on how Dhurandhar struck a chord with audiences. Madhavan noted, “Traditionally, our movies revolved around the India–Pakistan war or the freedom struggle. That’s been our main storytelling focus. But the younger generation doesn’t even want that anymore. They’re saying, ‘Samajh gaya main, kitni baar bologe?’ (I’ve understood it, how many times will you say it?) I believe after Dhurandhar, the India–Pakistan narrative will move on. That’s the full stop now.”
R Madhavan’s Upcoming Projects
Madhavan is currently preparing for the release of Dhurandhar 2, scheduled to hit theatres on March 19. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film faces a ban in the Middle East due to its political themes.
