Actor Ram Kapoor will be travelling solo this time, as his wife Gautami Kapoor stays behind. He is scheduled to fly to Dubai on Tuesday. Amid rising tensions in Dubai caused by the ongoing US–Israel–Iran conflict, Ram Kapoor plans to return to Dubai next week to complete pending work at his residence in Burj Khalifa.
Ram Kapoor Reveals Returning To Dubai Home Amid War
In an interview with The Times of India, Ram shared that he is returning to Dubai because of ongoing work at his home in the Burj Khalifa. Ram stated, “Last time, we were there for about a week. I thought I would come back to Mumbai and wait for things to settle before heading back. But now I don’t have a choice. My work is still pending, and the situation doesn’t seem likely to calm down anytime soon. It appears to be escalating, and it could continue for months, or even longer. If that’s the case, I can’t delay any further. I will have to go and finish the work I had planned, despite the circumstances.”
He explained that the urgency comes from renovation work at his Dubai home, which is currently on hold. Ram added, “There is work underway at my home in the Burj Khalifa. We had received the necessary permissions and set a fixed timeframe for completion, but everything has now come to a standstill. I could request an extension, but we don’t know how long this situation will last. So, the plan is to continue with the work and try to finish it as scheduled. People I know in Dubai are continuing with their lives as much as possible. It’s not an ideal situation, but I am not panicking.”
Unlike his previous visit, Ram will be travelling alone this time, with Gautami staying back. He will fly to Dubai on Tuesday after wrapping up some things here, and he expects to stay there for a couple of weeks. In the interview, Ram mentioned that Dubai is very well organised and “capable of ensuring safety.”
About Middle East Crisis
In February, the US and Israel launched a joint missile strike on Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran targeted American bases across the Middle East and military targets in Israel. This led to the closure of airspace across the Gulf and the evacuation of foreign tourists. Since the strikes on Iran on February 28, the region has been embroiled in conflict, with casualties reported across the Middle East. The ongoing war has affected Gulf countries like the UAE, Qatar, and Jordan.
