Ranbir Kapoor CONFIRMS Love And War POSTPONED; Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Directorial To Release Post Ramayana Part One

Ranbir Kapoor is currently awaiting the releases of two upcoming films—Ramayana Part One and Love And War. While Ramayana Part One has been officially scheduled for Diwali 2026, there has been considerable confusion and speculation surrounding the release of Love & War. Addressing these rumours, Ranbir confirmed in an Instagram live session that the film has indeed been postponed. However, the actor did not specify a new release date.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love And War features Ranbir alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Initially announced with a release date of Christmas 2025, the film was later pushed to March 20, 2026. Earlier this year, reports indicated that the film’s release might be delayed further to 2027. However, sources from various media portals suggest that the filmmakers are still committed to releasing the film in 2026, though no specific date has been announced.

During his Instagram live session for his brand ARKS on Saturday, Ranbir Kapoor clarified that Love And War will come after Ramayana Part One. Nitesh Tiwari’s film has been scheduled for release in October. This suggests that the film could possibly arrive around December 2026, provided all goes according to plan. The film will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, and has faced multiple delays so far.

Love And War Release Date

Regarding the release timeline, Pinkvilla reported in January that Love And War is now aiming for a 2027 release. Citing industry sources, the report noted that a significant portion of filming remains incomplete. The extensive VFX work and editing required for aerial action sequences have pushed the release window further away from 2026.
