Randeep Hooda Admits Feeling Bad When Ranbir Kapoor Promoted Highway With Alia Bhatt, Says, “Picture se kya lena dena hai?”

Imtiaz Ali’s Highway was not only a crucial film for Alia Bhatt, but also her co-star Randeep Hooda. When the film released, Randeep was missing from the promotions and Ranbir was seen endorsing the film with full enthusiasm. In a recent interview, Randeep admitted how he felt bad when Ranbir promote Highway hinting that he and Alia were maybe in love since that time.

In the interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Randeep Hooda was asked about Highway and why was Ranbir Kapoor promoting the film instead of him? To this, he said, “Iss baat ka mujhey bhi boht bura laga tha kyunki uss waqt agar mereko aur sahara milta toh shayad mera jeevan thoda aur aasan ho jata, career thoda aur aasan ho jata. (I also felt bad about it because at that point, if I had gotten more support then, my life and career would have been easier.)”He further added, “Ranbir Kapoor ka iss picture se kya lena dena hai? (What did Ranbir Kapoor have to do with the movie?”

However, Randeep admitted that Highway might have been the beginning of Ranbir and Alia’s romance, which culminated in their marriage. He said, “Maybe that’s where their love story began. I offer them my best wishes. If this film brought them together, I’m truly happy for them.”

Workwise, Randeep has recently received critical acclaim for his role as Ranatunga in Jaat. The film also stars Saiyami Kher, Sunny Deol and Viineet Kumar Siingh. The film is enjoying a decent run at the box office. Apart from this, he has several upcoming projects in the works, including the Hollywood action thriller Matchbox alongside John Cena. He also has a Netflix series tentatively titled SDGM.
