Rhea Chakraborty will be summoned for questioning on September 6 by the Narcotics Control Bureau. NCB has confirmed Rhea’s summon in its media briefing. “We will be asking her (actor Rhea Chakraborty) to join the investigation, and maybe to some other people as well”, said Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG to ANI.

Yesterday night, Rhea’s brother Showik and Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-aide Samuel Miranda were arrested after NCB raided their houses and questioned them for hours in connection with an alleged drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

The crime report of Narcotics Control Bureau says that Rhea was involved in the usage of drugs. Her WhatsApp chats also reveal that she allegedly bought and sold drugs. The crime report of NCB read, “Analysis of WhatsApp chats of Rhea Chakravarty with other entities reflects the angle of conspiracy and abetment in possession, sale, purchase, consumption, transportation and usage of substances covered under NDPS Act. Prima facie offences u/s /20(b)/22/27/28/29 of NDPS Act are made out.”

In the media briefing, the NCB also said that they would also be looking into the ambit of Bollywood.NCB now wants to question Deepesh Sawant along with Rhea and Showik in order to understand how this nexus works.

Meanwhile, the NCB had produced Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda to the court today and they have now been sent to the NCB custody till September 9.
