Popular music duo Sachet-Parampara have strongly denied plagiarism claims made against them for their 2024 hit song Raanjhan from the film Do Patti, starring Kriti Sanon, Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh. The song became an instant favourite among fans, but recently came under fire after an international music producer accused them of using his beats without permission or credit.

Sachet-Parampara Deny Copying Music For Raanjhan

The music producer, known as KMKZ, took to Instagram to explain his side. He claimed he had posted the original beat online two years ago and was shocked to learn it had been used in a song with over 290 million streams on Spotify. He said he tried to contact T-Series and the artists involved, but received no response.

In response, Parampara Thakur from the duo addressed the issue in an interview with Mid-Day. She called the claims false and said they were made just to gain attention. “We have shared the original music files and piano scores with platforms like YouTube and Spotify. The chords used are common and can appear in many songs. Major platforms have reviewed our files and rejected KMKZ’s claim,” she stated.

She also revealed that they are planning to take legal action. “Our lawyers have taken this matter to court. We will file a defamation case for damaging our reputation. We won’t tolerate false accusations,” she added.

Sachet-Parampara emphasised that their work is original and backed by proof. The situation has sparked a debate on music ownership and fair credit in the industry, but the duo remains firm that they’ve done nothing wrong.
