Bollywood actor Salman Khan visited his longtime bodyguard Shera’s home in Mumbai to offer support after the death of Shera’s father. Shera’s father, Sunder Singh Jolly, passed away on Thursday at the age of 88 after a battle with cancer. The cremation took place at the Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.
Salman Khan Visits Bodyguard Shera’s House
Salman Khan arrived at Shera’s home later that day. Videos shared online showed Salman getting out of his car and being greeted by Shera at the entrance. The two shared a hug before Salman went inside to pay his respects. He was later seen leaving the house quietly.
Shera also shared the sad news on his social media. He wrote, “My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for heavenly abode today.”
Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, has been Salman Khan’s bodyguard since 1995. Over the years, they have developed a strong bond. Apart from working with Salman, Shera runs his own security company called Tiger Security, which has handled security for many celebrities. In 2017, Shera was in charge of international pop star Justin Bieber’s security during his Mumbai concert.
Before becoming a bodyguard, Shera was a bodybuilder. He won the Mumbai Junior title in 1987 and was the runner-up in Mr. Maharashtra Junior in 1988. He later moved into the security business and joined Salman Khan’s team in the early 1990s.
Salman Khan’s Work Front
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar, a film that starred Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj. The film did not do well at the box office. He will soon be back on TV as the host of Bigg Boss 19, and is also working on his next movie, Battle of Galwan.
