Sara Ali Khan’s Metro…In Dino Character Is Inspired By ‘Naina’ Deepika Padukone In Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani? Actress Addresses Comparisons At Trailer Launch

Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut in Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. She has previously been a part of many acclaimed films and series. During the trailer launch of Metro…In Dino, Sara Ali Khan opened up about whether she feels pressured ahead of Anurag Basu’s sequel release.

Sara Ali Khan Reveals If She Is Pressured Ahead On Metro…In Dino’s Release

When asked how her look is similar to Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and if she feels pressured with Metro…In Dino’s release, Sara Ali Khan said, “Honestly, I will starrer with the latter part of the question. I have never felt less pressure, I think that I have said this earlier, and then Basu da didn’t let me say it. I just think there are moments when I cannot even believe that I’m here. I’m just so honoured and privileged to be on a stage with 7 actors whom I admire, with Basu Da, Bhushan sir and a film like this. It’s just amazing. It’s like surreal for me to be a part of it, so I don’t think the pressure would be much, actually.”

She added, “But I think as far as the look is concerned, it was all Basu Da’s brainchild. But I think that it definitely is not glamorous, it’s real, I feel. And I feel like my character in this film is like an easy breezy girl who is trying to figure her life out. And I have never been given an opportunity to kind of showcase that in an urban but real sense. So I don’t know, but I hope it’s liked.”

Metro In Dino is expected to carry forward the emotional depth and interconnected stories that made Life In A Metro a cult favourite. The movie is set to explore the complexities of urban relationships in today’s fast-paced world. The film is slated for release in early 2025. The film draws its title from the popular song “In Dino” from Life in a… Metro. The film is an anthology of four stories of contemporary couples. All four stories are set to connect at some point in the film. Metro… In Dino is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic drama written and directed by Anurag Basu.

It is produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions. It is the spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu’s previous critically acclaimed hit film Life in a… Metro (2007). The film’s dialogue is written by Samrat Chakraborty. The film was officially announced in December 2022. The film will release on 4th July, 2025.
