Shah Rukh Khan is now reportedly making strides toward Hollywood, with rumours suggesting he could be involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Anthony Mackie, the star of Captain America: Brave New World, previously expressed that if a Bollywood actor were to join the Avengers, his top pick would be King Khan.

Shah Rukh Khan To Make His Hollywood Debut With Marvel?

According to an account on X named Marvel Leaks, Shah Rukh Khan is in preliminary discussions with Marvel filmmakers regarding a future project, although it’s made clear that this will not be part of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Should these claims be confirmed, Shah Rukh would join a select group of Bollywood talents who have entered the Marvel realm.

Marvel Leaks tweeted, “News/Speculation: Shah Rukh Khan is in early talks with Marvel Studios for a future project (this is not Avengers: Doomsday),” sparking excitement among fans. However, as of now, neither Marvel Studios nor Shah Rukh has officially verified this information. If true, he would join the ranks of actors like Farhan Akhtar, Harish Patel, and Mohan Kapoor.

Many Marvel actors hold Shah Rukh Khan in high regard. Anthony Mackie called him his favourite Bollywood star and praised him as “a wonderful actor.” He even expressed a desire to travel with him to an island in India, implying a narrative connection to his film involving the emergence of an Eternal in the Indian Ocean. This could hint at the rise of a superhero or villain from India. Additionally, Benedict Cumberbatch, aka Doctor Strange, has also acknowledged Shah Rukh’s remarkable talent. He suggested that actors like him would be great assets to the Marvel universe. In the Ms. Marvel series, Kamala Khan referred to him as her favourite actor. Notably, a song from Shah Rukh’s film Swades was featured in Deadpool 2, further solidifying his cultural influence.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Project

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear in King after the release of Dunki. He will be joined by Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who has also helmed hits like Pathaan, War, and Fighter. Initially, Sujoy Ghosh was attached to direct the film, but later stepped away from the project.
