During the lockdown, if there’s one actor who managed to win people’s heart then it was Sonu Sood. Called as ‘Messiah of Migrants’, Sonu not only helped stranded migrants reach their home during the lockdown, in fact, he is also helping some of them to find employment.

Post lockdown too the actor has continued to help the needy people in whatever ways he can. However recently, some netizens pointed inconsistencies in Sonu’s charity work and soon labelled it as ‘fake’ and ‘PR stunt’. Now read on to know what Sonu said in his response to these people expressing doubts over his good deeds.

A Twitter user recently asked Sonu to help her financially with her son’s heart surgery. “Hi Sonu Sir My son is affected with pulmonary stenosis where his body can’t take 100% of oxygen his oxygen level drops to 30% Pediatric cardiologist has suggested for open-heart surgery as early as possible so please kindly help out us in this critical situation,” the user wrote in her tweet.

Yesterday, responding to the user, Sonu wrote, Tomorrow your son will be admitted to SRCC Hospital Mumbai. Surgery will be scheduled this week.”

However soon some netizens pointed out that how the woman had not even tagged Sonu in her post nor did she reveal her location. Some even pointed out how that account was created only recently and hardly had any followers.

You can check out how netizen’s raised suspicion over Sonu’s philanthropic work.

Now responding to these users who raised doubts over his work, Sonu took to Twitter and wrote, “That’s the best part brother.I find a needy & they somehow find me. It’s about “INTENTIONS”, but u won’t understand. Tom patient will be in SRCC Hospital kindly do ur bit. Send some fruits for him. Someone with 2-3 followers will be happy to get some love from a man with followers.”

But looks like a Twitterati still had doubts over Sonu’s clarification. The user further pointed out how there is a discrepancy in the dates of the tweet calling out for help and the actor’s response to it. “See the dates – Reports done: 17th Sept. Surgery done: 25th Sept. Tweet done: 20th Oct Help assured on – 20th Oct Basically you assured help to someone who already got treated previous month. Time to fire your PR Team who has exposed your Fraud,” wrote the user.

We wonder what Sonu has to say about this. However, there were also some users who asked the actor to ignore such naysayers.
