Sunjay Kapur’s Funeral To Be Held In Delhi, Prayer Meeting On June 22; Karisma Kapoor’s Kids Sign Off Grieving Note

Industrialist Sunjay Kapur, the ex-husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away on June 13 due to a heart attack during a polo match. He was 53 years old. His funeral is scheduled for June 19 at 5 PM at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi. The funeral was delayed due to legal procedures in the UK.

Sunjay Kapur’s Last Rites To Be Held In Delhi

A prayer meeting will be held in his memory on June 22 at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi from 4 PM to 5 PM. Close friends and family members are expected to attend. His sudden death has deeply shocked his loved ones.

A message shared about Sunjay Kapur’s prayer meet includes a verse from the Guru Granth Sahib, which speaks of those who live life with devotion and effort being remembered with respect. The message is signed by his mother Rani Surinder Kapur and his wife Priya Sachdev. It also includes the names of his children — Samaira, Safira, Kiaan, and Azarias.

Sunjay Kapur was married three times. His first marriage was to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani in 1996, which ended after four years. In 2003, he married actress Karisma Kapoor. They had two children together — Samaira and Kiaan. The couple separated in 2014 and officially divorced in 2016. In 2017, he married Priya Sachdev and had a son named Azarias with her.

Following the news of his passing, Karisma Kapoor received support from her family and close friends. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Amrita Arora, and Malaika Arora visited her home to be with her during this difficult time.
