Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is all set to bring one of India’s most inspiring real-life tales to the big screen with his upcoming war actioner, Ikkis. A tribute to Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal – one of India’s most valiant heroes who was awarded India’s highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, posthumous, the film is all set to release theatrically on January 1. Now, just days before, the makers have unveiled final trailer for the film.

Taking to the comments section of the final trailer of Ikkis shared on Instagram, Sunny Deol wrote, “love you papa”. Bobby Deol too took showered love on his late his father, writing, “My precious papa”

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is produced Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The upcoming war drama brings to screen the extraordinary true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. For the unversed, Khetpal showed unparalleled courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, becoming a symbol of national pride.

The film features Agastya Nanda as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetpal. It also stars debutant actress, as well as acclaimed artists like Jaideep Ahlawat and the late superstar Dharmendra ji. Initially set to release on December 25, 2025, the film will now have a grand theatrical release on January 1, 2026.
