Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Darr was a superhit in 1993. While it wont critical acclaim, things turned sour between Sunny and Shah Rukh and they did not speak to each other for 16-years. The hatchet was buried when they shared warn hug at Gadar 2 success. As Sunny gears up for release of Jaat, he expresses desire to reunite for a two hero film with Shah Rukh Khan.

In a converstion with Pinkvilla, Gadar 2 actor was asked about who he would like to star in if a two-hero movie is made. To this he replied, “Aise decide karna kiske saath karunga nahi (To decide like this with whom I’d do it or not)… I mean, I would love to do it. I think anyone who is… Shah Rukh ke saath ek hi film ki thi. Toh ek aur kar sakte hain (I did only one film with Shah Rukh. So we can do another). It would be nice because that was a different period, and now it’s a different period, so definitely”.
Sunny added, “Pehle humare directors had control over the whole thing. Aaj kal humare directors ke paas itna control nahi hai aur kahaniyaan waisi ban bhi nahi rahi hain, which will justify the images of the actors. Woh bahut zaruri hai (Earlier, our directors had control over the whole thing. Today our directors don’t have that much control, and the stories are not being made in a way that would justify the images of the actors. That is very important).”

Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan were said to have had a falling out after their stint in Darr. Shah Rukh essayed villainous character of a stalker in the movie while Sunny was the quintessential hero. However, after the release, Sunny was unhappy with how Shah Rukh’s character was glorified and he got appreciation. For 16-years, the actors were not on talking terms. During the Gdar’s success bash, they seemed to have reconciled.
