Varun took to Instagram and shared a long note, he wrote, “Again one more passing of a soul being insensitively covered by the media. I just don’t understand why do you have to cover someone’s grief everyone looks so uncomfortable with this how is this benefiting anyone…My request to my friends in the media this isn’t the way someone would want their final journey covered.”
Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday night. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, took her to the hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival. She was 42 years old. After her death, several videos appeared on social media. These showed paparazzi crowding around her family during the funeral. One video showed Shefali’s mother, Sunita Jariwala, crying as she arrived for the final rites.
Many people online were upset with how the media acted during such a sensitive moment. They said it was wrong to follow and film the grieving family so closely.
Varun Dhawan’s message was a reminder that people deserve privacy and respect, especially during such painful times. He urged the media to be more sensitive and thoughtful when covering personal tragedies.
