Vikrant Massey REACTS To Winning Best Actor For 12 Fail; Says, “Privilege To Be Sharing My 1st National Award With Shah Rukh Khan”

Vikrant Massey gave a powerful performance in the hit film 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Although Vikrant had done many good roles before, this film changed his career. 12th Fail became a big success, both with the audience and at the box office. The film tells the true story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his journey of hard work and determination. Vikrant’s role was praised by everyone and his acting touched hearts and made a strong impact. Because of this role, Vikrant won his first National Award, making it a very special moment in his career.

Vikrant Massey On Winning National Award

Vikrant expresses his gratitude by sharing a long statement on his National Film Award victory and sharing the Best Actor award with Shah Rukh Khan. The Sector 36 actor shared, “I want to thank the Honourable Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the NFDC, and all the esteemed jury members of the 71st National Film Awards for considering my performance worthy of this recognition. I also want to thank Shri Vidhu Vinod Chopra ji for giving me this opportunity.”

He added, “Today, if I may say so, a 20-year-old boy’s dream has come true. I am eternally grateful to the audiences for honouring my performances and for recommending this film with such love. It is a privilege to be sharing my first National Award with an icon like Shah Rukh Khan.”

Concluding he said, “Lastly, I dedicate this award to all the marginalised people in our society — those who are often looked through, and those who are fighting the socio-economic paradigm of our country every single day.”

Vikrant posted a couple of pictures with the director. He wrote, “We did it sir”.

About 71st National Film Awards

A press conference was held at 6 PM at the National Media Centre in New Delhi, where jury members officially announced the winners across various categories, including feature films, non-feature films, and cinema writing. This year’s awards were based on entries submitted by filmmakers nationwide, with the final submission deadline being September 18, 2024.
