Ramayana Vindu Dara Singh Adipurush Ranbir Kapoor

The teaser of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, dropped just yesterday and quickly took over social media. While many praised its grand scale, visuals, and star cast, others reacted cautiously, comparing it to past adaptations of the epic. As conversations around the film continue to grow, one voice that stands out is that of Vindu Dara Singh.

Vindu Dara Singh Reviews Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Spectacular’ Ramayana Teaser

Vindu is someone with a deep personal connection to the legacy of Ramayana. His father, the legendary Dara Singh, immortalised Lord Hanuman in Ramayan, a version that still holds a special place in Indian households.

Reacting to the teaser in an interview with DNA, Vindu appreciated the scale and visual appeal of the film. However, he also stressed, “It looks spectacular, very beautiful. But there is a strict rule. Joh Ramayan Ramanand Sagar ji ki bane hai, woh hum sabke dil-o-dimaag poori fit hai. Woh joh Ramayan hai, woh historic hai, number one hai. Agar yeh picture uske saath match ho gayi, then it will be superhit. It will be a record-breaking hit. Kuch bhi deviation agar ki, jaise is mein woh khatarnaak (asur) se dikh rahe hai, toh agar zyada upar-neeche kiya, people will not accept it.”

At the same time, he praised the film’s visual treatment and expressed confidence in Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama. According to him, Ranbir’s performance is likely to bring a certain class and depth to the character.

Vindu Dara Singh Also Critised Prabhas’ Adipurush

Vindu also drew a comparison with Adipurush, which faced heavy criticism upon release. He made it clear that the new film already looks more promising. “Yeh jitna bhi dekha hai, usse to bahut better lag rahi hai. Woh toh pata nahi kya tha. Main trailer dekh ke samaj gaya tha ki yeh flop hogi. Kya hi chal raha tha. You can’t deviate so much and have Hanuman ji saying all these dialogues.”

The teaser itself introduces Ranbir Kapoor as a warrior-like Rama and briefly shows his exile for 14 years. It also offers a glimpse of Yash as Ravana, which has already sparked significant buzz among fans.
