With less than a month left until War 2 releases, the makers of the action-thriller unveiled the much-awaited trailer yesterday. Since its release, the video has amassed millions of views and the hype for the Independence release is only increasing. As the buzz continues to spike, reports of how much the film’s three main leads — Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, and the film’s director — Ayan Mukerji, are earning has made the headlines.

War 2 Cast Fees Revealed

As per a recent Times Now report, ‘antagonist’ Jr NTR has taken home a much heftier pay cheque compared to ‘protagonist’ Hrithik Roshan. According to the article, the actor – who became a global star with SS Rajamouli’s RRR, has earned a whopping Rs 60 crore for his Bollywood debut. This staggering pay cheque make him the highest paid actor/technician of War 2.

The report further states that Hrithik Roshan — who is reprising his role as Kabir Dhaliwal from the 2019 blockbuster, has been paid Rs 48 crore for the upcoming YRF Spy Universe film. Kiara Advani — who grabbed attention for her bold, action-packed glimpses in the trailer, has reportedly received Rs 15 crore for her still-untitled role.

Ayan Mukerji — who has been behind the camera for films like Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, has reportedly earned Rs 32 crore for his fourth outing asa a director

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is based on a script written by Shridhar Raghavan, Abbas Tyrewala and Aditya Chopra. War 2 – the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, sees Hrithik Roshan returnign as Major Kabir Dhaliwal alongside Jr NTR as Vikram and Kiara Advani in a pivotal-but-still untitled role. It also stars Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor as well as Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in cameo appearances and ‘Khalid Rahmani’ Tiger Shroff via old pictures.

Complete with high-octane stunts, sleek visuals, and an all-star cast, the film promises to take action cinema to the next level. War 2 will release in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on August 14, in time for Independence Day, While the recently released teaser garnered significant buzz, this explosive trailer is sure to make the wait for August 14 seem extremely long.
