The wait is over! With less than a month left until it releases in theatres, the makers of Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani-led War 2 have finally unveiled the much-awaited, action-packed trailer – and we are not disappointed. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe and is set to release globally on August 14.

The two-minute-thirty-five-second long trailer is packed with high octane action sequence, sweeping visuals, and high-stakes drama that will have you on the edge of the your seat. It opens with Hrithik’s voiceover and him pledging to give up every thing he has – his work, his name, and even his identity – to become a shadow. It’s followed by a shirtless Jr NTR standing aboard a ship over a fallen soldier and declaring his intent to become something no one has dared to be.

What follows is an explosive clash between the protagonist and the antagonist and Kiara Advani showing off her skills with killer action. Amid the high-octane Sharing the trailer to their Instagram handle, YRF wrote, “Get ready for the storm, the WAR begins now! #War2Trailer is out! #War2 releasing in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on August 14th in cinemas worldwide!”

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is based on a script written by Shridhar Raghavan, Abbas Tyrewala and Aditya Chopra. War 2 – the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, sees Hrithik Roshan returnign as Major Kabir Dhaliwal alongside Jr NTR as Vikram and Kiara Advani in a pivotal-but-still untitled role. It also stars Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor as well as Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in cameo appearances and ‘Khalid Rahmani’ Tiger Shroff via old pictures.

Complete with high-octane stunts, sleek visuals, and an all-star cast, the film promises to take action cinema to the next level. War 2 will release in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on August 14, in time for Independence Day, While the recently released teaser garnered significant buzz, this explosive trailer is sure to make the wait for August 14 seem extremely long.
