Abhay Deol and Patralekhaa-starrer ‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’ clocks a good Rs 8.10 crore in the first week!

After a hiatus of two years, Abhay Deol returns to Bollywood with the horror comedy titled ‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’ that released in cinema halls last week. The movie started off on a low note last Friday but picked up over the first weekend and the total business in India stands at Rs 6.30 crore in its first week which is really healthy for a movie of this genre.

The overseas business for the first week is Rs 1.80 crore which takes its total domestic and overseas business to Rs 8.10 crore combined. In spite of facing stiff competition from movies like ‘Beyond The Clouds’ and October, ‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’ fared well in the first week. With no big releases this week, the makers have gotten another week to earn profits and with Rs 8 crore already in their kitty, the road ahead doesn’t seem too difficult.

Speaking of the movie, the unconventional love tale between a ghost and a crook has caught the fancy of moviegoers and with good box office returns in its first week the movie is surely inching towards the HIT mark!

‘Nanu Ki Jaanu’ is produced by Inbox Pictures and also stars Patralekhaa in the lead role.
