Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar‘s recent release Brothers has gotten off to a good start at the Box Office. The movie that had received mixed reviews from critics has netted Rs 15.20 crores on its first day. The Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra directorial stands as the second highest opening day grosser of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

On it’s opening Day Brothers had received a 40 % occupancy the percentage will increase as India’s 69th Independence Day falls on Saturday, so the outcome of the weekend surely looks bright. The film is being well received in places like Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, UP and other places.

Trade Analayst Taran Adarsh tweeted,

Film distributor Kiaara too added, #Brothers is the All Time Biggest Opener of @akshaykumar in #India. It collected Fantastic ” 17 cr ” on Opening Day and around 41 cr ” Worldwide on Opening Day.”

Brothers is an official remake of the Hollywood film Warrior. The film is a journey of two estranged brothers, who go against each other and finally there is a face-off between them in a ring.The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
