An Action Hero starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat has now been performing well at the box office. The film which was released on December 2 underperformed on its first weekend. According to the Box Office India report, An Action Hero earned Rs 2.35 crores on day 3, thus bringing the grand total to Rs 5.60 crores.

The movie has done better than Ayushmann’s last release Anek but it cannot be considered to be good in terms of the box office. An Action Hero is also facing competition from Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya as well as Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Drishyam 2 which is already in its third week.

As per the reports, Bhediya which is a horror comedy raked in Rs 42.85 crores on its second weekend whereas Drishyam 2 collected Rs 181.68 crores on its third weekend.

Friday – Rs 1.25 crores

Saturday – Rs 2 crores

Sunday – Rs 2.35 crores

TOTAL – Rs 5.60 crores

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Doctor G actor penned a heartfelt note on his Instagram, saying, “We are grateful for the love that’s coming our way for An Action Hero. It validates our stance of walking the road less travelled to take risks and hopefully contribute to making our industry a more diverse storytelling entity. An Action Hero is a rare script, a film that was meant to push the envelope of creativity and we hope you continue giving it love and appreciation in the days to come.

Meanwhile, An Action Hero also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. Bollywood Bubble gave 3.5 stars to the movie. Despite getting good feedback, the film is not able to mint money at the box office.
