Simran and Lucknow Central

Last Friday we had ‘Simran’ and ‘Lucknow Central’ making it to the theatres. ‘Simran’ starring Kangana Ranaut received average reviews while ‘Lucknow Central’ received positive reviews from the critics. But on the box office, both the films are proving to be duds. The films started off low and then they failed to gain mileage over the weekend.

Talking about statistics, on its fifth day i.e. Tuesday, ‘Simran’ managed to mint only Rs 1 crore at the box office while ‘Lucknow Central’ garnered Rs 90 lakhs. The total collection of Kangana Ranaut-starrer stands at Rs 11.63 crore while Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lucknow Central’ has reached the mark of Rs 9.29 crore by the end of five days at the box office. This year box office has been a risky road for almost all the films. Even the mighty Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ failed to leave a mark with their respective collections at the box office.

Now, gear up to witness the clash between ‘Haseena Parkar’, ‘Bhoomi’ and ‘Newton’ as all these three films are slated to release on September 22.
