With all the controversies and protest surrounding it, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ had finally hit the screens on January 25, 2018. The film took a slow start at the box office, but then from day two, the movie showed a fantastic jump and there was no looking back for it.

The movie has entered its second week and on its second Saturday the movie has collected Rs 16.50 crore approx. which is excellent. The 10-day collection of the film is Rs 185.50 crore. Well, the collection would have been better if the film had released in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The movie till now would have easily passed Rs 200 crore at the box office if it had released in these states.

However, in just 10 days the film has beaten the lifetime collection of SLB’s previous release ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The lifetime collection of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanak Chopra-starrer was Rs 183.75.

Hopefully, ‘Padmaavat’ will cross Rs 200 crore at the box office with today’s collection, and if it stays stable during the weekdays, then it can collect nearly Rs 250 crore at the end of its second week.
