‘Judwaa 2’ shows a drop on Tuesday, but stays steady

‘Judwaa 2’ had a long weekend and had collected Rs 76.25 crore in four days. Well, as expected, the movie showed a huge drop on its fifth day which was a working day. However, the collection is not at all bad, given that this year many big films have crashed at the box office on the weekdays.

The Varun Dhawan-starrer collected Rs 7.50 crore approx. on Tuesday, taking the five-day total to RS 83.75 crore. It looks like the first week collection of the movie will be around Rs 95 crore which means it will beat the first week collection of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’. The Akshay Kumar-starrer had collected Rs 94 crore in its first week.

By its second Friday, the film might reach the 100-crore club. We won’t be surprised if this movie turns out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. Well, it looks like this time moviegoers decided not to go by the reviews as ‘Judwaa 2’ has received mostly negative reviews, but still its doing well at the box office. The movie is doing quite well in Bihar. It has collected Rs 3.40 crore in five days beating Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tubelight’ (Rs 3.38 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ (Rs 3.09 crore).
