raabta, behen hogi teri

Dinesh Vijan’s ‘Raabta‘ performed very poorly at the box office in its first weekend. The movie did a business of Rs 4.25 crore on Saturday and showed no growth on Sunday with again Rs 4.25 crore nett. So, the total three-day business of the movie is around Rs 13.11 crore nett which is very low.

The movie started off with low numbers of Rs 4.61 crore, but we had expected the numbers to grow on Saturday which did not happen. The Sunday business was majorly affected by the India vs South Africa match and so one had expected minimal growth. It has turned out to be a huge disaster and with the current business, there is no scope for Monday. Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Raabta’ wasn’t the solo Hindi release as it was pitted against Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan-starrer ‘Behen Hogi Teri’. However, latter is even a bigger disaster as it did a business of Rs 60 lakh on Sunday, taking its three-day collection to Rs 1.20 crore which is very bad. So, if you have to consider the overall business of both the movies, then it’s a disastrous weekend for the film industry.
