Begum Jaan

Begum Jaan‘ is not showing any signs of growth and is going downwards with its numbers. The movie did a business of Rs 1.30 crore nett on the first Tuesday and the numbers are only decreasing. The total domestic business of the movie is Rs 13.25 crore nett and that’s way too less for a solo Hindi release. But, it started out with poor numbers and that did not work for the movie. (Also Read: ‘Begum Jaan’ movie review: Despite slow narrative, this one is a moving watch)

Going by the numbers, ‘Begum Jaan’ will not even reach it’s budget of Rs 19 crore nett this week. The Hollywood movie ‘Fast & Furious 8’ is doing a fabulous business, but the collection of Vidya Balan’s ‘Begum Jaan’ is far from disappointing.

The movie which was adapted from the Bengali movie ‘Rajkahini’ that starred Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role, hasn’t lived up to the mark. Critics and audiences haven’t really taken a liking to the movie.
