The plan of releasing ‘Raees’ and ‘Sultan’ together

On early rumours of Salman Khan's 'Sultan' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' clashing at the box office on Eid 2016, Shah Rukh Khan said, "hum sab kuch saath saath karenge, filmein bhi saath mein release karenge... As far as the teams are concerned we all are loving, respectable and friendly people. We will work out things in a way that we get best business time." Well, that's another story that 'Sultan' was released at the set date and created records, while 'Raees' is all set to hit the theatres on January 25.

Seems like equation between the two Khans is going great. Salman Khan promoted Shah Rukh Khan‘s “Raees” in his own unique way on Twitter. Salman tweeted, "RAEESSSSSSS ah raha hai. Filhaal teaser dekho aur enjoy karo behaad". Shah Rukh Khan who is currently shooting in Bulgaria replied to Salman Khan, " abhi Bulgaria mein hoon aa nahi sakta. Thodi Biryani bhijwade ghar mein bachhon ke liye. Eid Mubarak & love to family."

Another tender moment shared at Arpita Khan’s wedding

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan patched up on Arpita Khan's pre-wedding day. In fact they both danced together to 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' at the reception and also announced that the 'long-standing enmity' was a mere media creation.

In Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan, Salman Khan says, "I realise we'll never be best of friends again but I have a lot of respect for him. I really loved that guy. God has given him a lot, mashallah, he doesn't need me and I don't need him. I will keep those memories."

After their much-talked about hug at 2013 Baba Siddique's Iftar party we saw them together at the Star Guild Awards. As Shah Rukh went on-stage to receive his Entertainer of the Year prize, he and Salman Khan, who was host, shared a hug on stage.

The visible differences

Post that unfortunate incident, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan started avoiding each other at public events as well. Star Screen Awards in 2011, where Shah Rukh co-hosted the event with Shahid Kapoor, had a special appearance by Salman Khan. SRK and Salman ignored each other and did not share the stage.

The cold war between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan started few years ago at Katrina Kaif's birthday on July 16, 2008. Katrina Kaif lost all the fun out of her birthday and was seen crying in the car sitting next to Salman. She was visibly upset with all that happened.

In 1998, Shah Rukh Khan had received an award. But he dedicated the award to Salman, saying, "I would like to dedicate this award to Salman, jisko lagta hai ki saare awards sirf mujhko milte hain." Salman Khan came on the stage and sportingly walked up to Shah Rukh, thanked everyone.
