The Kapoor scion has been garnering praises for bringing alive the trials and tribulations of Dutt’s life on the big screen. The biopic has put light on Sanju’s relation with his mother, sisters, friends and most importantly with his father Sunil Dutt.

On Sunil Dutt’s 90th birth anniversary Sanjay Dutt shared an interesting anecdote about his father, as he took a walk down the memory lane.

The incident took place when Sunil Dutt was shooting for a film in Kashmir with six-year-old Sanju accompanying him. One day Sanjay threw a major tantrum on the sets demanding a cigarette to smoke.

When his father came to know of his demand he took him to a corner and lit a cigarette for him to smoke. Sunil Dutt thought when Sanju will choke and cough he will develop an aversion to the cancer stick and never smoke. (Also Read: ‘Sanju’: ‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’ song is all about hope and courage)

But to his utter disbelief, Sanju did not choke or cough but smoked the entire cigarette. The angry father then punished his son by making him stand under the sun for the whole day.

‘Sanju’ starring Ranbir Kapoor is slated to release on 28th June 2018. It also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, and others in leading role.
