‘Race 3’ is my lucky sequel:Jacqueline Fernandez
The Queen of many hearts Jacqueline Fernandez is currently riding high in her career. We all have witnessed Jacky’s stellar performances in her previous films. And now with the same motto, Jacqueline is gearing up for her upcoming film ‘Race 3’ oppositeSalman Khan.
As the release of the film is around the corner, the entire star cast is busy promoting it. In a recent interaction with the media, Jacqueline Fernandez mentioned that the sequel of ‘Race’ has proved to be lucky for her. The actress went on to say that she is more confident with the ‘Race 3’ and can’t wait anymore for it to be out.
From the time of ‘Kick’, Jacqueline has been a part of many action films. But with, ‘Race 3’, the actress got a chance to explore more. Jacqueline said, “Now the demand for the character in a film has become more competitive. Further, the actress mentioned that it was difficult to manage the hectic shoot schedule but since everyone from the team was taking equal efforts, she too managed the same by doing double shifts. The Sri-Lankan beauty talked about how the pole dance sequence was challenging and she went under immense muscle pain during the practice sessions. Lastly, Jacqueline said that Salman and Remo were always on-toes to make sure each scene was perfect.
‘Race 3’ is all set to hit the silver screen this Eid (June 15).
'Race 3' actor Freddy Daruwala is not an exception who loves action movies
Freddy Daruwala started off his Bollywood journey with ‘Holiday’, wherein he essayed the role of a villain. Later, the actor went on to do supporting roles in films like ‘Force 2′ and ‘Commando 2’. And now, the fitness enthusiast is all set to leave a mark with his stint in ‘Race3’.
In an interview to the press, the model-turned-actor mentioned that he is much keen on doing action-packed films. Freddy will be seen playing the chief antagonist and will perform some kick-ass action scenes in ‘Race 3’. Having worked extensively in action movies, the actor says he has never worked with expensive cars and with so many gun machines. Super-hit franchise like ‘Race 3’ has made him explore the action floor like never before.
Further, the actor revealed that even though he prefers action as a genre more, he is open to take up any genre which comes his way. Freddy also mentioned that he wishes to explore the other facets of his acting style. Apart from Bollywood movies, Freddy is working on Telugu films along with the upcoming Digital Content. No doubt that Freddy is such a sought-after actor in the genre that he puts much efforts to feel the character and present it differently every other time. Speaking more about ‘Race 3’, Freddy mentioned that this action-thriller has opened many doors for him in the industry now. The actor also added that he has received a lot of appreciation for his work in ‘Race 3’.
While it’s good to be enthusiastic about work, the actor said that he has worked hard on the physicality for his character in the film. He feels that nowadays the choice of content in the film is changing rapidly. Freddy said that now girls to fall for a villain in the film making it more challenging for an actor to meet the expectations of the audience.
Concluding the interview, Freddy mentioned that working as a newcomer in the super-hit franchise was challenging. But he prepared for it genuinely and received the support from the cast. Directed by Remo D’Souza, ‘Race 3’ is all set to release on June 15, 2018.
Would love to do a sports-centric film: Ranbir Kapoor
Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, who is set to play a football match for a cause, says he would love to do a sports-centric film which tells the inspirational story of any Indian athlete.
If he had to do a film on a sportsperson, who would it be and why?
“It’s a tough question! We’ve a lot of athletes in the country and every story is worth listening to (and) will inspire others. I would personally love to do a sports-centric film sometime on any athlete who has made the nation proud,” Ranbir told IANS in an email interaction.
The actor is one of the 18 Bollywood celebrities from the All-Star Football Club (ASFC), including Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and Dino Morea, who will play a friendly match to support Magic Bus Foundation’s goal to help 2,000 underprivileged children.
Magic Bus Foundation has associated with crowd-funding platform ImpactGuru.com in an initiative backed by GS Worldwide Entertainment to create awareness and raise funds for underprivileged children in 77 districts across 22 Indian states. Ranbir is an ardent football fan.
“Everything about football excites us (ASFC members)! Playing induces adrenaline, explains the basics of teamwork and its importance. As a viewer too, it is the most involving game for audiences. Every minute, every second of it has something exciting for both the players and audiences,” Ranbir said.
The film industry keeps playing friendly sports matches off and on for noble causes.
“Sports in India is picking up and growing exponentially as a culture. We’re lucky to be a part of this process and it makes us proud whenever we can contribute to this positive trend,” added the actor, who is training hard to beat his seasoned opponents, who he believes have an “athletic edge” over his team.
