Jiah Khan, also known as “Nafisa Khan”, was a British-Indian actress, who appeared in Bollywood movies. She was trained in opera, played the piano and also had a keen interest in dance forms like Salsa, Lambada, Samba and Kathak. At the age of 16, she was supposed to debut in Mukesh Bhatt’s Tumsa Nahin Dekha, but later refused the offer as she thought that the role was too mature for her. Later in 2006, she debuted in the controversial movie Nishabd, where she acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Jiah committed suicide at her Juhu residence in Mumbai on 3 June 2013 and shocked everyone with her sudden demise.
