Lisa is an Indian-Canadian Actress-model who finished her high school in Canada with an intention to major in journalism. But then a well-known fashion magazine approached her to model for them, and she ended up on the cover. She made her debut with the offbeat movie Kasoor (2000), which got her appreciation in the Bollywood film industry. Indian-Canadian director Deepa Mehta then roped her in as the lead in the romantic comedy Bollywood/Hollywood (2002). In an event at the Toronto International Film Festival, Ray announced that she had incurable cancer but in 2010, she declared that she was cancer-free, after a stem cell transplant.
