Padmini Kolhapure was a famous Hindi film Heroine in the 1980s who was born to a middle-class Maharashtrian family in 1965. Her entire family including her grandmother and both of her paternal aunts wanted her to become an actor, but she was always more inclined towards music. Eventually, she made her film debut with director Ravi Tandon’s movie ‘Zindagi’ where she played the role of a child role along with Mala Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar and Vinod Mehra in 1976. In 1980, she got the leading role in the movie ‘Insaaf Ka Tarazu’ with Raj Babbar and Deepak Parashar where her performance was appreciated by the audience. She fell in love with producer Pradeep Sharma after he cast her in “Aisa Pyar Kahan” and they got married. The actress retired from films at the tender age of 22 and has a son named Priyank who is currently gearing up for Bollywood.
