MAA Box Office Day 4: Kajol’s Mythological Horror Witness Drop On First Monday, Misses Rs 20 Cr Mark

Kajol starrer Maa started strong at the box office but saw a big drop in earnings on its first Monday. The film is directed by Vishal Furia and gained good momentum over the weekend. However, early reports show that it made only  Rs 2.25 crore on Day 4, bringing its total collection in India to about Rs 19.90 crore.

Maa was released last Friday and surprised many with its opening day collection of Rs 4.65 crore, which was higher than expected. On Saturday, it earned Rs 6 crore, and Sunday saw even better numbers at Rs 7 crore. But like many films in this genre, it faced a major dip on Monday — about 68% less than Sunday.

According to industry sources like Sacnilk, Maa had a three-day total of Rs 17.65 crore. Now, with Monday’s drop, the film’s future performance at the box office is uncertain.
