Metro… In Dino Box Office Day 2: Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta Starrer Film Sees Jump, Inches Towards Rs 10 Cr Mark

Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino is off to a good start at the box office, with both audiences and critics giving it a thumbs up. The film, which released on July 4, saw a big jump in collections on its second day.

As per early estimates by trade website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 6 crore on Day 2, bringing its total to around Rs 9.5 crore in India. On its opening day, the movie collected Rs 3.5 crore. With a 32.20% occupancy in Hindi theatres, the film is showing strong signs of growth over the weekend.

Metro… In Dino is being compared to Anurag Basu’s earlier film Life in a… Metro (2007), which had a slow start with just Rs 80 lakh on opening day but ended up collecting over Rs 24 crore. If this new film maintains its pace, it could follow a similar path to success.
